Media

We've been talking in our Wednesday night Bible study time a lot about media and communication and technology. We've started going into some discussion on what it means to have a Christian worldview. By Christian worldview I mean that we look at the Bible through the lens of Scripture and faith in Christ. So the question that we are discussing tonight is, "Is it ok to listen to music that isn't 'Christian'?" We could extend this question to broader media as well including movies, TV, art and really anything else. Is it ok for Christians to be involved in things that aren't "Christian." This doesn't include things that are overtly inappropriate, sexual or grotesque. I'm more asking about media that isn't created by someone who is a Christian. I have my own opinions which I may share along the way, but I'm interested in hearing from others what they think about this question and why you think that way. Leave a comment.

  1. I'm looking forward to hearing from the Youth and advisors on this issue. Good topic - challenging! Thanks Adam.
